Hi all, Thanks in advance for any help you can provide and also for the wonderful resource you have created in this community. I am having a problem with my brand new Ruckus (1 week old, ~100 miles) that I wanted to run by the experts here before taking in to the dealer: About 3 days into ownership, I notice a bit of some fluid dripping from the kickstarter - assuming its the tranny oil (see attached image). I wiped it up and have not seen any since, but about 2 days ago I started getting an odd clicking noise from inside the transmission right around the kick starter. I noticed that if I jostle the kick starter a bit, it seems to resolve the issue temporarily, but it comes back again in short order. I've read around and it seems it could be: - Loose variator nut (though this seems unlikely as I have never opened it up)
- Clutch nut (again seemingly unlikely)
- Issue with the kick starter teeth partially engaging while running, the solution for which seems to be to take off the cover and lube
I'm still under warranty, so no issues with taking it in, but I'm hoping to educate myself before I hand it over to the dealer so that I can minimize any quick fixes they might make which could cause problems down the line.
Any and all advice greatly appreciated!

There's no oil in behind there, so oil must have come from somewhere else, or something is seriously wrong.
Sounds like something loose or misaligned in the kickstarter assembly, it's only 6 or 7 8mm bolts if you want to pop it off and have a look for yourself. But get it back to dealer for sure.

The fluid there could just be some grease from the factory. It's not needed but, Honda will sometimes grease the kick. If over greased, it can heat up during operation and dribble a bit. As for the clicking, just open the cvt case and seat the kick gear down closer to the case cover. This is normally just the half moon shaped gear moving inward a bit. Plus, re-seating that gives you the chance to double check that lil dribble.
