... Reborn at 50.6cc! It's a bit late, but some week ago I was struck with low compression. Here's a 10 bajillion X macro of the damage Can you believe it took 4 weeks to get my new oversize piston and gasket set!? Then a whole other week to have the jug bored!!? I've only been back up and running for 20 days and I'm nearing the end of the break-in process!

Can You feel a really major difference in Power and Engine Braking now.... ??.....glad it's back up and running..... ;D Since I have an expansion chamber exhaust, that was helping the engine cope with the lower compression... once it was in the pipe's sweet spot. The most obvious sign of how weak the engine was (hot compression @ 80 PSI), was the complete lack of response to anything beyond half throttle and the sluggish clutch engagement. The friction was winning against engine power, making it bite at low revs with little ferocity, only to then be presented with a long and painful wait for the engine to finally climb some revs, reach the pipe's RPM range and pull like a bone stock bike, even though I had a pipe (little Tecnigas Next R) and multivar. Right now engine torque is waaaaay up, there's this ooomph! pushing the bike forwards even just feathering the throttle against the clutch and the engine got it's lovely response back even with the stock transmission (stocked the transmission for breaking it in, to keep the new engine from being spun too fast too soon.) Oh and now at 440km on the new piston, I've restarted my experiments with packing. I'm now using FMF 4 Stroke packing with a layer of steel whoole against the silencer core, it's pretty much as quiet as a stock bike (for now ) Chanito, I never did know what went through the engine, as it was never run without a filter (except two times to shoot fogging oil down it's throat)
