I often scrap the kickstand when I corner to the left sometimes. I even have some of that yellow paint used to paint the line on kickstand.
I know I lean the little ruckus pretty good because I look at the contact patch on the tires and they are worn past the edges of the tires. I am using Michelin Boppers.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I would check if the stand looks bent or if the spring that keep it up is not broken or something, or maybe you just lean it ALOT when cornering

Scrapped pavement with the center stand the other day while avoiding a cager that blew a stop sign. Other than that, I'm fairly agressive in the turns and haven't had the stand scrap.

I once scraped the center stand on my SR50 while leaning and after that, I tried to lean the bike while standing besides it and NO WAY was I that low. to touch the side stand with the suspension unloaded, I would not only have needed knee pucks, but elbow pucks too! Now that I've got a high pressure gas shock and stiffer spring in the rear, I'd probably have to lean it a lot more.

I am a LOT HEAVIER than both Skuuter and Kamino, and was nowhere near to scratching the stand It does require a lot of speed and skill to do so

Wat? That would require a significant slip angle, and I seriousely doubt you're neutral steering or drifting a ruckus, nevermind at speeds high enough that you'd be leaned that far, countersteering in a slide.

Obviously, you have never riden wih the Kaminos or Skuuter, the super low center of gravity on the ruckus makes for some scary speeds on those tigh mountain roads, these guys take corners at 30 i was scare at 15

Most memorable was driving about 5 mph, and just falling over. I miss that stuff.

My PasswordJDM BMX pegs are the first thing to scrape now. Only done it once - right turn from a stop sign.

Back to the point, A bike doesn't fall over ina lean because it's a delicate balance between gravity wanting to pull it down, and centrifugal force trying to flip it over the other side. If you drift a ruck on snow, it ain't gonna go that low because you can't get the speed up (would need spiked tires, but would then lack the engine power to drift it). You're going to have to counter steer it, but you're not going to rub anything. As for tarmack, yeah it's gonna rub, but it's never going to break the back wheel loose, hence no countersteer. Again... wat -_-' Sorry for being a poor sport about this, but this just has me facepalming like mad here...

I push forward with my right had when I want to turn sharp at low speed (30km/h) and do this for all higher speeds. I can take a pic of my front tire for you to show you how much of the front tire gets used. The color difference shows which part of the tire gets used vs not used.

Kami, and Joie scrap Their rear-mounted pegs often. I scrape my centerstand some. This is usually only on very tight/technical roads like The Dragon, and Hwy 32 out of Cosby outside Gatlinburg.
Now, that being said, I have since lowered my Ruckus some, and installed Michelin Boppers. Due to these two changes, I actually can run a corner at the same speed now with less lean. The Boppers, and lower center of gravity make the Ruckus turn quicker with less input. The lowering may be a temporary thing for "experimental purposes"......we'll see.... ;D

scraping is so last year, I've moved on to tearing the peg off. This what happens when you lean a bit too low and the washer folds through the hole.

We need a bigger gun, err, washer.

We need a bigger gun, err, washer. I'm gonna' mount some CBR rearward pegs on mine possibly in the future. I may fabricate a bracket to raise em' a "tick" higher. Might be a future option for Ya'....we'll see. Gonna' be "experimenting" more with my Ruckus in the coming months. See if I can get the "PIG" out...........

Yeah, we could definately stand to work out a better option for those footpegs.
