What up? I bought an 09 ruckus super fresh last year in sept. Had fun riding it around and it seemed to run like a champ. hitting the 43 sometimes 45 on flats. after the winter which i even had to ride it around because i needed to get to my job and my car was broke. But it really didnt sit. i kept it in the garage and ran it once a month for a good day and rude it around for some winter ruck fun. it seemed to lose a little power barley wanting to hit 40 on flats. it also hard to find those here in Pittsburgh.
I have checked out pretty much every technical thread there was to read about ruckus upgrading. From big bores, to which is the best variator & weight set, exhausts, cdi boxes, aerodynamics (frame kits, windshields), carbs, and all this stuff and i have come to the conclusion that for the 2200 dollar bike i bought is throwing another grand for all that outragous stuff really worth it. unless its to make it look cool like some ballin rims ;D
Amyways I've come to the conlusion that the stock suspension is a really weak. im not a heavy guy at 6 foor 170, but the roads here in Pittsburgh are some of the worse. Pot holes and unpaved (thank you honda for nice offroad stock tires). But i want to have some good comfort and not have to worry about bottoming out anymore when im tearing it up on the ruck.
Out of all the different springs and coils available who has tried several. the (claimed) best and the worst. I would appreciate all of your opinions. I personally am just thinking about getting the daytona.
lot of crap to read i might post pictures and get more personal and ask a million ?'s
peace
