Needed to go to the bank and drop off some green... figured I'd take a long way home... Now, I could have rode up into town, where they're shooting Leathernecks, or whatever the movie is, but the open road had a much more appealling call than the chance to see George Clooney. So, the completely opposite direction I rode, out towards Union Grove and Love Valley (That's cowboy country, there, no motor vehicles allowed in town, only horses). Well, I didn't go quite that far, wanted to get home by 5 to go disc golfing. I cut home on a couple back roads that I occasionally came through when I wanted to take a longer way home from school. Plus, I knew I'd get to ride on some dirt. I almost went out to Munchkin Land. Got passed by two cops with their sirens wailing that turned down there, but that would have cut my ride fairly short. I'll do Munchkin Land on a day I don't feel like wasting as much time. Anyhow, It was only about an hour ride, but decent fun. I thought I'd share a few pix. Maybe one day I'll ride up town, though. Maybe I can find George Clooney and get him to sit on the ole girl. Ha, ha. Or at least get some shots of Ryoko by the clock tower. P.S. I hope those pix look okay. One day, I'll get me a nice moniter that doesn't have screwed up contrast so I can see dark pictures instead of dark blobs. Too lazy to go look at the laptop, right now...

Your pics really look 'ghost-town-ish' since your Ruckus is always on the road but there's never a rider or anyone in the back ground. Anyways, cool pics thanks for sharing!

I think it looks especially 'ghost-ish' and haunted because your Ruckus is on the road like it's driving in so many of the pics. If it was parked against a wall it wouldn't have that vibe.

So maybe it won't look so bad if I ever make it into town to try to get some shots by the clock tower...
I don't know what streets are blocked off, though, on account of that movie...
Well, if I get up early enough, tomorrow, maybe I'll go have a looksie...

Took my Ruckus out for a spin yesterday afternoon after I got home from work on the Silver Wing. No matter what else I own and ride, I still have a ball on the Ruckus.

Yeah, it's always a blast...
Though, I do hafta say, last week I drove my car down to Mooresville, birthday shopping for my mom, and I realized how much I miss driving that ole girl. She ain't fast, and she ain't nimble, but she's hilarious fun to bomb around sharp curves. Oh, well.
Of course, I don't usually have bugs fly down the back of my shirt, and drop down into my pants in the car. Had that happen last week on Ryoko. It's a blast picking a beetle out of your crack as you ride down the road.

YUuuuummmmm.............sounds like a lot of fun, so far, in 37 years of riding, I haven't had the "beetle" problem....lotsa' stuff down my shirts though................

Well, luckily I haven't taken a bee or wasp to the face or chest... One of my friend's caught a wasp to the chest a couple weeks ago on his bicycle, and I'm pretty sure it happened to my dad years ago on his Speedway... Yowch.

Bumble Bee up a T-shirt sleeve(another reason for jackets) on a motorcycle years ago....stung me 3 times on the back before I could get pulled over, get the helmet off, then the shirt off. It was also hard to maintain control of the bike with him nailing me.............................

Yeah, wear a visor. I just took Ryoko for a little 9 pm 2-3 mile loop after readjusting one of the mirrors. Bugs hurt above 30 mph... they managed to fit in the space between my goggles and the bottom of my helmet. And one or two hit my fingers, ouch.
[sarcasm] I'm so glad winter's over. [/sarcasm]

Nice photos. I was riding my bike to work one day and took a wasp in the eye. When I got to work I realized how bad it was by the looks on everyones faces when they saw me. Looked like someone stuffed a grape under my eylid... It was pretty funny looking. Even the doctor was a little disturbed. Needless to say I wear eye protection bicycling or scooting.

Gross....yeah eye protection is a must. Rocks and stuff flying off my cheeks is okay but the eyes are too sensitive and it would really suck to lose one of those.
