It's fake. We all want to believe it so bad cuz more free power is so appealing but if it was real we would have figured it out long ago. If it was true he'd give us more info and actually use real words to describe it. Im sorry, maybe its just me, but that post was quite rude. The guy is french (like me...well, im an Ex-quebecer, thats eastern canada for the people that dont know where or what quebec is) and he obviously has a hard time with his second language. I asked him the question we all are in french, and hopefully, whenever he comes online and reads these posts hell let me know what exactly he means. Thanks for your thoughts Redmond. I do wish to apologize as 'gaz' is actually a french word for gasoline and 'tite tache' is french for tight spot or something. However that still doesn't make what he's saying true. Both Chanito and I have looked at the throttle cable and there is no way to adjust it to open farther. Stock the 'butterfly' (carb valve) is completely open so unless his Ruckus was defective to begin with, there is no way to improve the throttle cable.

It was shot with a video camera mounted to the gas cap of my Monster. I love the Monster S4R. But since I bought the Ruckus, I barely ride my poor S4R.

I looked as the gas cable too. Maybe he knows a trick. I hope he has something. The exhaust springs did not work as well as I thought they would. *lol*

Hmm, heres what i make of it. What hes saying is tampering with the throttle cable it gives the engine more juice when you drive.
Im no mechanic, but i can bet you a few months from now your engine will have crapped out, not that i dont believe you, but thats creating a lot of stress on your motor.

There is no way to open the throttle farther. You can reach under to the carb with your hand and manually open the 'butterfly' valve and you'll notice that the throttle cable opens it just as far. Just reach under and see how far the throttle opens in and then try and turn it more, you can't. There is a stopper that you could potentially shorten but it would be a foolish thing to do because the stopper stops the butterfly from pivoting when it is exactly horizontal so letting it open farther would actually decrease your flow. Think of the butterfly valve as being like a hamburger on a stick. When the throttle is closed the burger is vertical and blocking the shaft. As you twist the throttle the burger rotates until finally it is horizontal and blocking virtually none of the flow. Opening it further would just be closing it the other way. Sorry if this example is confusing but it's hard to explain. The butterfly valve is just a round circle with an axle through the center of it the wide way. Like this:
--(-)---
The axle twists and the round plate blocks less of the flow until at full throttle it is horizontal.

:)Right on, I always think of the Hamburger on a stick when looking at my Butterfly Valve. Just like I always envision a Portobello Mushroom when contemplating the Enrichening Valve.
