not so sure if the price of fuel varies over in canada and the u.s of a, but here it is starting to get biblically stupid ! in early november it was around 90-95p(approx u.s$1.80), but now its £1.05 to £1.10 per LITRE ! thats for regular unleaded, but diesel is even more crazy, £1.08 to £1.15 per litre. cost of living here has always been high, but the rate of climb is worrying. is this comparable to anywhere over there?

It's $3.70/gal. for unleaded regular in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was up to $3.90 earlier. I. too, love my Ruck. No excuse to cruise town in the evening is ignored. Had a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a sundae at Baskin Robbins, but my wife is dieting and wasn't interested. So I cruised down and ate both myself! Trouble is I got piggy and ordered the 2 scoop sundaes. I could barely finish them both and was stuffed! With the sugar high I really enjoyed cruising town and seeing the lights and tourists out shopping though.

It's been floating around 2.80-2.90 for a while. Every now and then it'll go up, or drop down. Haven't seen too many 3s (at least, in regular, glad neither my car or scooter are high compression)

I just came back from Peru, South America and gas is a little over 5 dollars a gallon, so you see alot of Chinese motorcycles and scooters doing delivery jobs with some weird boxes behind the driver

We're up to $3.06 here in Fort Collins. It's fine when I'm on the choppers, sucks when I'm in the Truck. Filled up last night, $44ish.
So to put it in perspective. I can make it 200 miles in my truck or 1,400 miles on my scooter for the same money!!!

I think it was around 3.25 last I checked. I haven't bought gas in ages, so I haven't paid much attention.

What about summer 2 years ago??? The first time gas went crazy (katrina?). I was living in Toronto that summer and I saw it as high as $1.35/litre which is about $5/gallon.

Yeah, goin to WV, hauling the trailer with two Ruckii, with constant wind, my bro's truck dropped from the usual about 12 mpg to about 8 mpg. Yuck. Glad I didn't hafta foot the bill for her.
I'll vote for whoever keeps Exxon from making record profits for a record number of quarters.

its still going up here!
petrol is pretty much £1.10 to £1.15 per litre (around u.s$2.20-$2.30 per litre/$10.35 /gallon)
diesel is between £1.17 and £1.22 per litre(around $2.35-$2.44 /litre /$10.98/gallon
as said in january the price is bad enough, but the rate its climbing is the longer term issue, and the economy here is in bad shape now, house prices falling from jan to now approx 20% in many places. i do know our american friends are also suffering too, canada we honestly never hear about for no real reason so i hope they are fairing better.
