During the short time I've been on this board I've received two private messages asking me to check out a competing site (with alot less members, posts and competence than this place). In my book that is spam. If any admin is interested I'll give you the names of the offenders.

Most of us are on both sites. I would not worry about it. There cant be just one ruckus forum.
Wow Dan, over 1000 posts! Nice work

Hello!
I've posted on the other board to let everyone there know that spamming is not OK, not that this is what happened in this case, two private messages from two individuals does not constitute spamming, but I posted something anyways to make sure that real spamming does not occur. I also want the admins or any board members to know that if it does occur then they can PM me and let ne know who is acting up and I will take appropriate actions on the TotalRuckus end of things. Don't PM me if you get one message, PM me if you get another message after telling the offending board member to stop messaging you.
Both boards can and should live in total Ruckus harmony. ;D

;D See i like that, we can have two forums and both should do great and have members on both, this forum is more tech oriented and i like that, spoon forum is more youth oriented and that is good too, almost all the chicks lefts us for the other forum, but using the pm messages is kind of not nice, and i totally agree with spoon, two should not be a cause of concern but if it bothers you, pm that person and let him/her know, i check the two sister forums from time to time and i should congratulated spoon for his, even though i can take so much high school humor, they seem to have found their niche, and the people at the metro site are as different from us as you can be, but then again that is the reason they have their own forum and i enjoy that, lets enjoy the ruckdoom, and be happy about it.

also you can see it as sharing of ideas on everyones main focus, being our ruckus. the more people, the better, even it is a different board we both have a common interest.
i mean if it was a board about canned processed meat or some off topic like that then that would be spamming.
my cents.
oh and don't forget to check out the rock bottom discount prices and big al's hand made stone toliets in the heart of downtown. "special 10% discount on senior thursdays"

There is nothing wrong with more ruckus/zoomer forums Greendale, and calling two PMs spaming, come on m8 almost sounds as you dont know what spaming is. Eventually as the zoomers starts to get more and more popular in Europe one forum like ruckcentral will not be enough, at least for me.

Alright. I have to put my 2 cents in here too.
I bought my Ruckus about the same time as the Total Ruckus forum got started, so I ended up joining both forums at the same time. The personalities of these 2 forums couldn't be more different. While I appreciate the information and knowledge that this forum has to offer, there is only so much that can be talked about or done to a 50 cc scooter. Thats why you see the same questions and issues brought up over and over. I'm sure the humor (or lack there of in my posts) will not be to ever one's tastes on the Total Ruckus site. Yes, there is less technical info, and its probably geared toward the life style of owning a Ruckus, rather than clearence specifications on the camshaft run out, but that what makes it all fun. The topics, language and posts on Total Ruckus, while probably mot up to the moral standards of this forum, are still pretty tame compared to the real garbage that is the cess pool of internet porn. I'm just glad to have both forums to check on, and there is certainly enough room for the both of us.
Chuck

come on m8 almost sounds as you dont know what spaming is. Spamming is when you send a message, often selling or promoting something, to a group of people (I assume I'm not the only one that has received this) that has not been in contact with you or otherwise requested the information. It used to be only by mail but lately it's been creeping into forums, guestbooks, etc. I thought these forums were associated with the Battlescooter Store, and that the admins maybe wouldn't like that someone is siphoning users from them. But it seems that no one has any problems with this, so there's no need to argue it further.

I just checked out the other forum. You guys say it is new, and for that, it seems to be doing pretty well. Even though there seems to be more tech info already discussed here, the guys on the other forum seem to be just as capable. The other thing I noticed is that the member's rides on the other forum are way more tricked out and cooler looking than the ones here.
Oh, and I didn't have to be a member to access the other forum like i do on this one. Can someone explain why this is? My recommendation would be to do the same on this forum as well. I would think that instead of attracting new members, it's only discouraging to people who just want a piece of information or to "Surf" the board. This board seems more like a private group of technically advanced guys, and the other one seems to be an open place for people to discuss everything. Once I became a member on totalruckus, I could access the "Out There" section. There was a lot of hilarious non-relevant stuff. I didn't mind it at all.
All in all, to do my upcoming mods to my ruckus I will probably utilize both boards. However my inspiration for WHAT I want to do has come from the other board. They have less content, but the "Member's Rides" are SWEET!
Just a NOOBIE'S thoughts.

honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. So...someone went off and started another site on the same topic. Do you think Harley-Davidson forums "edit profanity" and moan like this? Do you think guitarist forums "edit profanity" like this? Do you think political discussion forums "edit profanity" like this? Do you think IPod ehtusiast forums "edit profanity" like this?
C'mon guys! If you think about it, shouldn't we be doing something a little more constructive with our time anyway? What did you do before we had the internet? You read a book. You did lawn work. You cleaned the house. You had a conversation with someone face-to-face.
You know what I do when something annoys me when I read it on the internet? I ignore it. It will go away. Just don't read it again. It's just like listening to a radio station that you don't like.....TURN THE DIAL!!

You don't see the irony of you complaining about this thread at the same time as you tell people to ignore stuff instead of complaining?
Anyway, I think we all (except some people who sent me a private message instead of taking the heat here, telling me I was right) agreed that this wasn't a big deal, so please just let this thread die (how about that irony, me posting on this thread telling people not to post on this thread).
