It's not bad but now I get a popup ad all the time. Same here! Is it just an Ad or is it spyware?

Yeah. I don't like that. It might scare more people away. Unless that's your goal...then continue on and so forth.

Scribble, if your using a mac...like me...then you're probably using Safari and have the pop-up blocker enabled. Also, the odds are you wouldn't get the download window thingy that windows users get. Yes, we are superior, bow to us!

Apple Forever (although you are right abe, windows comp. are cheaper cuz they sell way more and hence the volume discounts)

I don't know about that...If you get an e-machine or something like that your going to pay less. But a pc that has the same features usually is just as expensive or a little more/less. Those G5 desktop mothers though, they're absurdly expensive.

Last summer I picked all the components of my PC and had it put together at the shop where I bought them. It was $900, not including monitor. CHEAP. Even if I had put a monitor in the pack it would have been about $11-$1200. At the time it had pretty top end pieces. My friend had a G4. He was looking for RAM. Our systems at the time used the exact same RAM (PC133). At my PC shop it was $45 for a 256mg strip. Across the street at his Mac shop it was $120 for the same thing So in some instances I think its more than just volume sales that dictate higher Mac prices. Ruckass

Sorry to cause trouble by not explaining myself I live in an area where PC stuff is cheap(Sillycon Valley) I just walking in the store an bought 512 ram for $59 and a 160GB HD for $59. Mac stuff has always been high here because if you do graphics you have no choice but to go Mac. I just wish all the scooter stuff was made here, maybe one day it will

My dad can reimburse a new comp. through work every year so this year he got a Mac G5 duel 2.0Ghz with a 23" HD Widescreen/Flatscreen. His total was something crazy like 8000$. Macs high end machines are a pretty penny. Every year he passes on his old computer to one of his kids for free. He gave me one of the G4 cubes with a 17" flatscreen. If I had to buy my own machine then, even though i love macs, i might be swayed by a sweet price.
