ok I have some questions about alarms on the ruckus. Right now I have installed on the bike is a bull dog security alarm 802 alarm, shown here bulldogsecurity.com/ I live in Kailua Kona Hawaii so it gets pretty wet here, besides the fact that is hella humit. So anyway the alarm just connects to the positive and negative, on the battery then your done. Pretty easy, But when it rains sometimes the alarm malfunctions. I mean the remote sometimes goes unresponsive when and after it has rained, and lately it seems like its be haveing more flase alarms, as its really anying cause I live in an apartment. So basicly i came to the conclusion the bull dog alarm needs to go. I was looking at the website and notice a article on alarms, and someone suggested the thor alarm shown here cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/THOR-REMOTE-ENGINE-START-STARTER-MOTORCYCLE-RADAR-ALARM_W0QQitemZ160187998019QQihZ006QQca tegoryZ34284QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem That seems better cause I see it says it is water proof. So my question is if I get the thor alarm, it seems like it hocks up difrently? can anyone email me a diagram or a artical on how you would go to install this alarm. Cause i dont know if you just hock it up to the batterie, and just bypass the other wires, or do you have to hock it all up. I need directions on how i would go to install the THOR alarm system shown here cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/THOR-REMOTE-ENGINE-START-STARTER-MOTORCYCLE-RADAR-ALARM_W0QQitemZ160187998019QQihZ006QQca tegoryZ34284QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem here is a vidio that i posted on you tube of the crapy bull dog alarm, www.youtube.com/watch?v=is6CAuHIOdcand here is some pics hope fully somebody can help me, ill will try to check back at this site, but if anyone could help with instructions how to install the THOR alarm on my honda ruckus. I check my email more so anyway hopefully someone can help me, as the number of stolen scooters have been going up, as I read in the Paper.......Thanks alot My name is chris and my email is bailout@sbcglobal.net thanks *Edited by Dan so the pictures show up

Oh man dude...I hate electrical issues and I really don't have the expertise to answer your questions but I have heard quite a few decent reviews of those alarms you're considering and I have heard it mentioned that the install instructions are okay so if you want to drop the coin you should be able to figure it out when it arrives with the instructions....good luck!

ok I think I could just connect the positive and negative termanals, and the alarm will probly work but that would be hella cool, if you could have the lights flash, and even mabey use the Remote engine start. Does anyone know how to install it. I need diagrams of how to hock it up? what wires go where? Besides just the positive negative, and siren. Here is the alarm im talking about cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/THOR-REMOTE-ENGINE-START-STARTER-MOTORCYCLE-RADAR-ALARM_W0QQitemZ160187998019QQihZ006QQcategoryZ34284QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and here is a link to a vidio i found but www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5-3rqWBn50 and also one more question The two alarms I have come down to is the Thor, the one im talking about now, and one other the Audiovox aa-930 www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJan08ODIWk . But I dont think the audiovox is water proff. And it dosenot have a warning chirp. But also I heard the audiovox sometimes fails and it has alot of flase alarms. Right now Im still going with the THOR alarm. Cause I think it looks like a beter product. Does anyone know? What is the better one. and if you have diagrams how to install either alarm can you please send them to me thanks..............chris

here is some pics and vidios , but if anyone has any diograms on the complete wireing of the thor alarm can you please post them cruz KONA myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=23405821Cruz on my honda ruckus scooter "http://lads.myspace.com/videos/vplayer.swf" flashvars="m=21492771&v=2&type=video" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="430" height="346" - Can't embed movies myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=21492771honda ruckus "http://lads.myspace.com/videos/vplayer.swf" flashvars="m=21492771&v=2&type=video" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="430" height="346" - can't embed videos someones crazy scooter crash www.youtube.com/v/BQWO1p9F1BQ&rel=1pictures: ok maby i will post more scooter stuff later like maby my easy to set up computer speakers for my mp3 player that rests on the top of my battery casing I can controll all my music and sound freely wile im cruzing. all i did was install a 12 volt cigarette outlet., then i got a $20.00 power converter hella small from wallmart and I have some concedid logitc speakers for a pc, on my ruckus. It is all water proff and you canot see anywires. And you cant even practicly see the speakers. I just had some Pc logitc speakers laying around but im sure you can pic upsome at walmart for less than $30.00 just make sure all your speakers and electronic stuff is out of the rain/water, and your good to go. I have been even thinking about adding a small boat battery, or car batery to the back so I can run my speakers, my alarm, and maby if i want to install extra offroad lights as and my wife go off roading all the time, to go camp in the middle of nowhere. But adding another battery to the ruckus would then salve the battery issuse, so you could add as much electrcial stuff to the bike as you wanted and dont have to worry, maby like some night led lights or something, hell the beter you can be seen at night means you have a less chance of getting your "edit profanity" ran over. but if anyone has added a second battery to there ruckus small or big can you post pictuers for me, what batterie did you use? Big? Small? Car? Boat? scooter? anything to relate so I can add more electrical stuff............. chris

I appreciate the photos, bailout, but Proboards doesn't like html tags. When posting pictures, just copy the url here in the text box, highlight it, and press the button. That should make a code that looks something like this (minus the spaces): s2.images.proboards.com/img.gif[ /img]

Ccol cool yea, Im just going to hock up two negative wires and the one positive. Cause im not comftable with wireing the lights and horn. And I have speakers and a small amp on my scooter so, I need to save as much battery as I can. But soon I am going to buy a solar pannel recharger. Then mabe I will hock up the lights, it would be cool at night.
I was pretty mad today to wake up to my alarm going off. to look out the window to see, my ruckus on its side. Some one who walked by it last night pushed it over. The break lever broke, on the end. My alarm whent off but it was hella late and the person ran off. So yea my alarm works good, from stealing the bike but still not from vandilisum. I hate mean people, who distroy things for no reason. Expecally around Christmas. Anyways hope everyone has a good christmas, and a happy new year ,,,,,,,,,,,,chris

Here is a clip of the alarm siren going off its way loader than the crapy bull dog one and has like 5 or 6 dirffrent tones. But the best is it runs on like no battery's so it dont drain your battery as much as a car alarm. Also I have had it in already two big rains and it has had no problem. The range on the remote is longer as well...............chris here the link to the clip www.youtube.com/watch?v=574p6Pti_Lg
