hello, I swapped out my 2004 get motor out and put in a 2012 motor in but I have a hose coming off the cam chain tensioner on the 2012 motor and the dealer said it is suppose to go to the reed valve, but after changing the air cleaner over on my 2004 I have the reed valve plugged off, so do i still plug it off or do i run the cam chain tensioner hose to the reed valve? please help thanks

Early motors (05 and earlier) had a simple pcv system, newer (06 and later) have a computer controlled system, the hose on the chain tensioner is to allow fresh air into the crankcase, you will need to install a pcv valve from a car and make sure the suction side is toward the engine and the other end is supply with some type of filter. The reed valve he is talking about is a electronic valve with a reed valve (one way valve) that allows air to go into the engine but not to came out, forcing the gases to exit at the top of the valve cover to be burn in the combustion chamber
