I'm looking to use the Ruckas or Metroplitan in a Spree.
From what I've been told they are the same identical motor and power...but I've also read the Metropolitan has a shorter swing-arm.
Can anyone tell me if the Ruckus has a longer swing-arm than the Metropolitan, and if so, by how much? Any other changes worth noting engine and drivetrain wise between the two models?
Thanks!

The Ruckus swing arm is a bit longer to accommodate the larger wheel. Both scooters use the same size rim (10") but the Ruckus had a 117mm (130*.9) tall tire, whereas the Met has an 81mm tall tire (90*.9), so the Ruckus has an extra 36mm or about 1.5" extra wheel diameter.
So the Ruckus definitely has a longer swingarm and I'd estimate that to be about 1.5" longer plus or minus 1/2".
The main other change are just swingarm related stuff: longer drive belt, different gears in the transmission to adjust for the wheel sizes etc. There were also some restricted Mets in the early days. You can buy a Met engine and slap a Ruckus swing arm on it and wind up with a functional powertrain.
