Well, it became "Official" yesterday when my Local Honda Dealer sold His 42nd PCX Scooter to my Buddy Don Earle (another Local Ride Buddy now)... ...Since the Ruckus was introduced, They had sold a total of 41 over the years. Until the release of the PCX, the Reflex 250 had been in 2nd place with 19. He had sold 4 PCX125s in 3 months until I talked Them into adding the PCX to "Demo Ride Saturdays" (Ruckus/Metro had always been included)...sold 7 more in 2 weeks. The Total was finally 27, putting it into 2nd behind the Ruckus......."Fast Forward" to the PCX150...in it's very short existence, yesterday made 15 already, making it the fastest selling Scooter They have ever carried. They have 6 more coming after picking up one more from another Dealer yesterday to have in stock until the 6 arrive. They lump the PCX125s and PCX150s together right now, due to the short time the 125 was produced. The PCX has only been around less than 2 years in the USA, and yet is already sold in all of Honda's Markets worldwide....it has become "The Honda Scooter to Own"... Might want to test ride a PCX150 sometimes...70+ MPH top speed, 65 MPH Cruise All Day Capability, Comfort, Locking Storage, Sport Bike Handling, Great Linked Brakes including a Hydraulic Disc up front, 90+ MPG.....My Dealer anticipates more than 50+ PCX150s out the door before this time next year...it has quickly become the "Ride to Work", "Weekend Trip Taker", and "Cool Machine to Own" to a lot of prior Car/Truck only Owners...the PCX150, introducing the USA to the Great World of Scooters.....

Wow that's impressive. The PCX is a nice machine and it's great to see Honda have scooter success, as that will hopefully encourage them to keep expanding their offerings.

I am a practical man, so my next statement, would not usually be something I will say, but there is something on the ruckus that set it apart from the other scooters, as much as I love the more modern and useful new scooters, there is no way I would feel as much in love with them as I did (and do) for the Ruckus. Being 50cc is a necessity for the Asian market (the main market for scooters) as there is a lot of tax incentive for them, having used the ruckus in city driving most of the times I just wished it had a little more pick up and better brakes, but I could live with that, is just the lack of accessories that killed me, I could never understand why nobody did real aluminum wheels for it on the right sizes, or rear engine cradle with twin shocks and the capacity to carry cargo or a passenger, and I could go on and on. Obviously a bigger motor with more power would be nice, but the looks have to be there. I would never even consider buying a scooter unless it has the same macho attitude the ruckus has (I guess being a latino have something to do with it) but while I rode my wife metropolitan and it was fun, riding "Katrina" (my ruckus) is was got the more smiles per miles out of me. With that being said the big ruckus was awesome, just WAY TOO PRICEY, just my two cents

Most want the Locking Storage, etc. also......!!!!!

"there is something on the ruckus that set it apart from the other scooters, as much as I love the more modern and useful new scooters, there is no way I would feel as much in love with them as I did (and do) for the Ruckus."
Great sentiment Chanito. The Ruckus is dear to my heart partly because it was my first ride, but also because there's just something about it. I find there's something fun - and a bit goofy - about all 50cc but the Ruckus takes 50cc fun to the max. The PCX and Forza look like outstanding machines, but it's true my passion would never be at the same level as it is for the Ruckus. My best hope of finding that in a full speed bike is probably an old 80's little CB400 that likes wrenching regularly.

The reason I do not post regularly is because my computer freezes every time I get in the site, so I get into a post and then has to get out of the internet in order to read another post is getting on my nerves. Due to my accident I doubt I could be able to ride a bigger motorcycle, but certainly a scooter is something I will ride back eventually. And going again to the "smokies" has now become a goal I must achieve. With that said, I am glad to hear from you DD, I certainly would love to see a picture of your family with that cute wife of yours and the little "dd'S" that must be around. So what have you been up to? Welcome back
