my ruckus sometimes makes a weird ticking/almost grinding crunching noise when I'm moving on down the road. but when I'm at a stop light, the sound goes away, but when i get back on the throttle the sound comes back. i think its coming from somewhere behind the crankcase cover. This comes and goes. and when i'm at a stop light and i take off i feel slipping and then it lightly catches and i start moving almost like its in the crankcase. i will feel something catch and i start moving then it will start slipping then catch and ill be on my way until i stop again.

It is hard to tell without listening to it, so we just can guess, I would say it is probably in the centrifugal clutch at the driven portion (rear, towards the rear wheel) of the variator, most than likely a shoe has broken the spring clip or the plastic synchronizer (a plastic piece with three large teeth ) is worn or broken Hope this help

Check that your variator bolt might need another turn, you could be scrapping the kickstart plate, if thats the case you could also shorten the spacer a .5mm
