I've always loved the Ruckus and have finally had enough without one in my life. I'm looking at a specific one that my brothers say isn't worth the price, which is $2500. I need to hear from some true Ruckians to help me with my decisions.
Heres the ad: "here is a super clean and stupid fast GY6 ruckus.. i bought this ruckus new at the end of 2009 and put about 4.500 miles on it and then did the monster job of installing the gy6 motor.. its stupid fast and will go up to 65 maybe even 70 miles an hour.. it takes off like a rocket.. the motor has an aftermarket variator, kevlar belt, cdi box, air filter, spark plug race coil and carbon fiber exhaust.. there alot of powder coating done to it... custom lowered seat, under seat tray, handle bars, .. the bike is super clean and ready for the streets or track.. just added an 11 pole charging system so the headlights will always be bright even at idle and the battery will stay charged.. also added spider webbing under the seat for storage. GY6 motor has LESS then 200 miles! bike was always garage kept too so its super clean.."
Any advice is most welcome and if anyone has any questions that I should ask this guy please post! Thank you all in advanced.
Eagerly waiting replies.....

I was wondering the same thing about him selling it. I'll email him and ask him. Thanks for the welcome and for the advice!

If I was to buy a stock ruckus, are there some simple adjustments I could do to make it 10-15mph faster?

probably not. even if they were simple, they'd cost a quite a bit.

Sadly no, simple bolt ons, will get you to the low to mid 40s, but any higher than that is going to take some serious modding. probably the best and most cost effective is an aftermarket variator with a set of weights (rollers) from the metropolitan

i just bought a brand new stock ruckus and love it. If he is asking $2500 you should know that a brand new one is going to cost just as much. I would say buy a new one rather than buying someone else's problem.

def recommend a stock used ruckus. I picked up a completely stock black camo 2006 ruckus in showroom condition with only 76 miles for $1300. Just take your time looking for the right one, they are well worth it!!

I live here in nw WA. At Everett powersports they sell brand new 2009-2011 Ruckii for $1700! The staff are jerk offs so have your local dealer match they're price! I got lifestyles Honda to match the price and theyre in a different county with lower tax! Good luck!

Check out Craigslist for a used one. If you can find a new one in Wisconsin buy it right away. They go fast with the fuel prices now.
