It's a shame, I was liked having to hold the ruck back ,so to speak, at lights when I blipping the throttle...lol. I also lost about 1 or 2 mph top end...depending on terraine and incline/decline. All in all the ruck seems significantly quieter and is definitely more driveable for around town. I'll have to bomb some more hills to see if the top end loss is closer to 1 or 2 mph. Uphill is about 1 or 2 mph better too. So, like it has been said a billion times...it's a trade off...top end and quickness. On a side note, I did notice that the polini belt is not traveling all the way up the polini variator...I may try a daytona belt, they are supposed to be a little wider...or I may shave the drive face a little to get a higher throw...not sure, but I'm sure it'll be fun messing around ;D

Hey guys, this thread....and for that matter, the forum as a whole....has been pretty quiet lately. How's everyone doing? I'm ready to be back in the mountains and riding the roads with you guys and gals. God willing, I will have a job soon. I'm supposed to have another interview next week so I'll be sure to let you all know how that goes. I haven't worked on Dirty Rice much lately, but I have been working on ideas and pricing parts. If the job prospect works out then I should be able to get things where I want them with the scoot long before the fall rally. So that's my update... What's yours?

Hi Mike, I just got my scooter fixed. Let a friend take it for a ride and he came back all scaped up, scooter was scaped up a little, turn signal bracked bent a little, headlight bracket bent a little and axle bent. I took it for a ride today and it still rips. Some days it seems to have more power than others, but I think that has to do with the weather. I wish I had gone to the summer ride, a friend had came up to Vermont from California and it was the same time as the summer ride, just happened that his grandpa got really sick and I didn't get to see him. I hope I can make it to the fall ride. Have a great day and keep rubber side down!

I figure it's just that time of year where everyone's doing vacations and what not. I just got back from WV, myself. Spent a couple hours carving twisting one-lane back roads on the Ruckus, before it started raining. Got some... I can't think of the name of it, but it's for tents to make them more rain-proof, we put them on the Chase Harper bags. They seem to have helped, but that zipper'll always be a problem. Picked up a puncture repair kit, too.

I tell you all one thing, I'm ready to meet Chanito. I've been staring at this goofy soldier squirrel for too long. I've got to put a face and personality to all these posts I've read and stories I've heard.
