i work at a dealership in nh currently working on a ruckus that starts and idles perfect but when throttle is pinned it acts like its starving for fuel but will idle all day cleaned entir efuel system replace fuel pump replaced tps and even put carb from new machine is there some vacum for the slide im missing honda tech line is of no help good compression if any of u ruckus gurus could help it would be greatly aapreciated im ready to put a two stroke cr85 motor in it just to get even help jeffc

could this be a tight valve even though it idles perfect it really seems fuel related the plug looks pretty lean

What year Ruckus are you working on?
I'm guessing the intake snorkel is loose or the main jet is clogged.

I am with Sanjuro on this one it sound like a loose intake, checkall your intake connections and make sire they are tight, and all the hose connected, if everything checks fine, also check the two bolts that hold the intake manifold to the head Good luck

hey thanks alot guys i will check intake again the air filter is clean i will double check all my hoses and intake bolts the rukus is a 2006 with 500 miles i will get back 2 u and let u know my findings thx jeffc

It doesn't sound like a tight valve to me because I've had that and normally the first thing you notice with a tight valve is that it gets harder and harder to start as you lose compression. Since it idles okay it's probably not that.
The stock airbox/intake on the Ruckus is somewhat restrictive so if you remove the airbox cover for example and try to ride it'll just totally cut out. If you have a major air leak somewhere then this could be what you're experiencing.
