Yeah, revs, I can't believe how much more enjoyable the ride is with these pegs. Leaning into turns feels so much more stable and just plain more fun too. Lifting the butt slightly off the seat for bumps in the road seems to help the Ruck take them more gently too. And they fold up nicely so you don't smack your leg on them in tight quarters.
My lower back still isn't happy with the riding position but it's an improvement. Honda really cheaped out by not putting a bar clamp so the handlebars could be rotated forward to ease the back pain for bigger folks.

Check out the Abomb Frame Blocks at BSS. They will increase your leg room as well as give you a longer reach to your stock handlebars. I am 6'4" and it make a HUGE difference.

I've been drooling over those since you put up pics of them, abomb. ;D Unfortunately, can't be pumping money into my Ruck now. I've got plenty of leg room, but the handlebars don't let me straighten my arms out and jam my lower back. If Honda had just put a bar clamp on, all it would take is loosening a few bolts to rotate the handlebar forward. Every mtn. bike sold can do this!!! What is wrong with Honda?

Hahahahaha! You funny guy, chanito. Actually, I've been cycling for 31 yrs. now, and I suffered a concussion many yrs. ago for not tightening the titanium stem bolt enough that I had just upgraded to on my mtn bike. Started down an ultra steep 4-wheel drive jeep hillclimb track that no one else would ride and don't remember anything until 2 hrs. later. That sucker twisted suddenly on me and threw me before I could react, haha. I check every bolt 2-3 times now.

I'd like to check out those Abomb Frame Blocks you mentioned but don't know what BSS is/means. I'm a 6' 6" rider w/ a 2k6 Honda Met. Think these would be adaptable to a Met? Thanks.

Not sure if they will work on a Met. I dont have one so I dont know what the frames are like. I designed the blocks based on the Ruckus 2 part frame. If the met is the same with the same geometry, then there should not be a problem. If the geometry is different, they may still work. They will just change the angle of the frame and potentially the rake of the forks. Jason at BSS would probably be able to tell you if they would work or not.

the front part of the frame looks the same from pictures (that aluminium subframe), but the rear half is iron on ruckus, and aluminium on met, so there might be issues with bolts fitment in the rear half of met frame best bet would be to aks if bss accepts returns, i guess?

Will lowering the seat help any? I'm 6' even and want to get a Ruck but dont want to feel as though I've been "folded."
Also, is the A-Bomb frame extension easy to install?
Thanks!

The frame blocks are really easy to install. You will need to create some slack in your cables and may have to be a little creative with their routes if you are using the stock handle bars, but as for the blocks themselves, easy! There are three bolts on each side that are used to mount the blocks between the two frame pieces. You will love them! ;D

i'm 6'1 and 205 lbs. the ruck is a small rig but can be quite comfortable with a few mods. i'm currently in the prossess of lowering and moving my seat back (bout 1 inch down and about 5 inches back.)not a difficult job if your handy with a hacksaw and a welder- i'm thinkin bout using 18 guage angle to use as a slider for adjustments

I'm 6', 190lbs.
Best mod was a "super" low seat frame from ebay. Lowers the seat by 80mm and moves it back by about 60mm.
Just ride like a cruiser!

Well, I only weigh 155 lbs. I stand all the time on these folding footpegs and they have never bent. I guess your weight would be the deciding factor.
