Supr; The plastic casting extrusions and curved doo hickies were placed there to hold a kryptonite type big U shaped lock sold in Japan by Honda Dealers. Thanks Ted! ;D I know its not that important but it just had me curious. By the way, how did you find out?

Chanito, why don't you start selling those?! I bet you could sell a bunch of 'em. The BS storage bins are $107 which is quite expensive if you ask me. You could probably make a killing! Just a thought though.

Yup...mainly for the U-lock but there's also that recession for the owners manual and screwdriver behind it.

Chanito, you ROCK. I just finished up my 5-gallon chemical container storage mod. Not as nicely done as yours, but will work fine until I can craft up another!

Hello... newbie here. Looking for a solution to under seat storage on my (new to me) Ruckus without spending $100. The pics in this thread do not work for me. Any chance for an update or repost? Or is it just me?
Nice site with lots of useful info btw. You'll be seeing more of me.. you've been warned ;-)

I used a 5 gallon plastic diesel container, new of course. I cut it just like Chanito's directions. I used the diesel can because I couldn't find the white one he used. I like it because it is thicker than the white container. It was also bright yellow. But, I painted it white to match the wife's Urban camo white Ruck. I'll have to get a pic of the style of diesel container and post a pic. Sorry.

ok, for anyone who cant afford to go to battlescooter.com's website and pay $150 for an under seat storage box, but just wants something a little more on the cheap side to hold them over, here it is!
1) go to office depot or staples and walk your scooter in the entrance and put it aside so you can try fitting a small $14 filing carrying case (plastic) inside your under seat area. You should find one that fits your scooter pretty snug.
2) Once you have purchased it and your back at your house, tear off the top cause you wont need it and it will only get in the way of everything. Mark off with sharpie where you need to cut and cut along the guides with good strong thick sharp scissors. IMPORTANT!!!! Leave a little extra all around top cause the ruckus floorboard isnt level and the box (if cut too low) can slide under the front bar and your box will slide out if your not careful in how much you cut, also, you can gradually cut any excess plastic you dont need for sure once its fit. .
3) If you have measured and cut correctly the seat should close on its own without you having to wiggle anything you just cut to close correctly. If it doesnt close by gravity then look underneath and see what else needs to be cut away from any hinges.
How to make a lock work off your helmet lock!! 1) Go to a hardware store that sells wires and chains and buy a thin wire and whatever the other piece is called in the photo. You only need like 8 inches of wire and both pieces should cost like $1.50 max dude...
2) (With the seat down) put in one end of the wire through one of the loops from the other thing you bought and loop the other end through the thing on the seat that you press in to open the seat.
3) Without connecting the other end of the wire, just figure how much wire of the 6 inches you will need to have to stretch through your helmet lock without having any excess wire beyond a comfortable amount to loop without a struggle.
4) Cut the wire to your desired length and connect it to make a loop. Use a vice and tighten that sucker as much as you can! Then take off the only bolt holding the loop thing attached to the seat and put that piece on it. Volla! A lock! Now it can lock your seat when you loop it through your helmet lock and lock your helmet up your new storage compartment is locked too!
If you’re in college, graduate ASAP! Market is going to hell.
Peace fools!

Very impressive, I'll be going to the flea market and the local car wash looking for one of those! Thanks for the ideal storage idea.
