The weight limit is suppose to be 220 lbs, but i alone weight more than that, and sometimes i used to take my wife for a spin, and Katrina handled that pretty well So as long as you do not try stunts with two people aboard you should be OK

Yeah the weight max is 220 but in Honda Europe has the weight max listed at 240lbs for the same scooter so obviously this isn't a precise number. I've ridden quite a bit with my wife (165lbs for me and 125lbs for her so 290 total) with no structrual integrity problems. Just watch out for bumps and potholes because the suspension will bottom much easier.
When riding with two a Ruckus is obviously noticable slower but it's still tolerable. You should really toss on some pegs though because that's a cheap easy mod and it's safer and more comfortable for the passenger. It also makes it legal.

I go for cruises all the time with my girlfriend
me = 175 gf = 115
Aftermarket shock and pegs really help out.

On the legal side of the issue, in Michigan and Indiana, to carry two people on a scooter, the law required a valid motorcycle operator's license. I don't have one, so my girlfriend and I ride separately (she has a Ruckus too...).
The dealer in Indiana told us about this for Indiana, and it seems like I read it on the Michigan Secretary of State website. I may be wrong though. But it wouldn't hurt to find out the law for where you live.
Cheers

I don't know what the rules are like everyone but here in Ontario, in order to legally ride 2-up on a bike it needs to have both a seat capable of holding 2 bums and pegs for both riders. The Ruckus does not have passenger pegs so riding 2-up without pegs is an easy way to get a ticket. The seat issue is more vague and you can definately argue 2 bums fit on a Ruck seat but in reality...it's a pretty snug fit. I guess it depends on how big these bums are.

I call riding two on my Ruckus as.... "Dumb and Dumbering" because the scene where lloyd and Harry rode two on a scooter through the countryside in the movie Dumb and Dumber was pricelss

I alone weigh about 280 and can get my 2007 LR up to about 41 without tucking, so I'm sure it would be fine as long as you added pegs for the rear rider.

I did the AweShuck front fork mod, and put on a heavier Daytona shock. I'm 220, and just took my friend's fatty wife for a ride on the back. At least it didn't snap in two.

What makes you think the stand is damaged?
