I am not such a big fan of wedge type sliders (weights) on small scooters because they have a tendency to "hang up", that means that since they have a larger surface doing the job they have more friction to overcame, both on acceleration and deceleration, so when you "floor it" it takes a bit for the weights to start their journey out and when you release they also hang a bit there, not a big deal but is there, and if you have a slide throttle is even more noticeable, you can use a stiffer spring on the clutch side to take care of the deccel problem but the accel you will have to live with it, they will however outlive the stock rollers

Smartbomb-Can your modification for achieving 50 mph be installed by a novice or do you have to be mechanically incline?

I have 2014 Ruck stock new only gets to 33 mph. hits rev.limit. Put on Polini variator still only 33 mph. hits rev. limit. I weigh 166 lbs. Is this as fast as a ruck will go what's the deal. Someone please help. Just want to be able to run 38 to 40 mph.

Check your oil level and tire pressure, if ok then make sure than your throttle opens all the way
