New guy: my work in progress « Thread Started on Oct 19, 2009, 12:28am »
Heres how it started. Picked it up with 700 miles (doubt that is true) It is pretty beat up, I had to pull the engine and head to fix the threads for the spark plug. Replaced the head gasket and valve cover gasket. Then I threw the motor back in to make sure it ran before I cut it all up.
I cut the handlebars off the stem and cut the tube in half. That made a perfect mount to weld some nice MX bars to. Also I cut the seat bracket down about 4 inches.
Lots more to come. I'm gonna get everything smoothed out and do a few more mods before I strip it all down to frame and paint it. I work on this thing a little bit everyday after work. If you have any cheap parts let me know! I'm looking for a lot of little random things,,, both parts of the battery box, both brake cables, clutch sheeves, ignition switch + key, seat cover, clean radiator...

Nice work....the shape is looking good.
Man yellow is rare color. You sure don't see many. Hardly any Ruck's were sold in '03 (or was it '04?) and yellow wasn't very popular then so you don't see to many.
