I want to remove the rear fender, but am concerned about nothing covering engine componants and lines from road debris. is it ok to totally remove fender and leave areas exposed or should i just cut the fender down, to cover componants,

I had mine cut "really down" for a long time, then finally removed it totally......no hurting anything really on the Bike but, You will have a "Skunk Stripe" in the rain....... ;D 8-)
